My Life Is Average

My son ran across this on the net today. Just had to share, hope it is linked properly. Beautiful fall day today, warm happy wishes to you all.

I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreater—but what was in front of our open door—was another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said “Please knock.” So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our “costumes” and tell us we were “such cute trick or treaters!” One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA

  1. Funny story! I like the raised garden plot and especially the handy pot holder.

I think you jinxed me though:), both our truck and coffee maker broke down on the same day. I hope you were able to get the furnace fixed.

  2. Hi Mr. H - so happy you stopped by - yes we got our furnace repaired, turned out the plumbing didn't tighten some fitting - now the truck and coffee maker would be a bad day here for sure - hope it isn't anything major with your wheels - we were forever having trouble keeping a coffee maker alive, so this time we just bought an new electric kettle and pour the water over the grounds into the last insulated carafe, 4 coffee makers in 2007 - none since - the view is of our first attempt in 2000 i will post the newer beds to boast - hope the mice don't find you, i use peppermint oil to keep them away, and you and the misses are warm and in hibernation mode - peace
