    i am sorry to hear that John - surely it can be attributed to the wetness you are experiencing this year - is it rotting, pull it up and let the "paper" dry - is it getting a mould or fungus - then sprinkle with tea tree oil - more sand in the soil would help keep the moisture away - do tell me more peace
